Shortcuts not working correctly on some Keyboard layouts
closed
With Akiflow running, the global system undo function (⌘Z) is no longer available. Akiflow caputures the keypress and disallows any other applications to properly execute the undo function. This is a really high showstopper!!

Hi everyone, with yesterday's release (2.33.16) are you still experiencing these issue?
You can turn off the shortcut cmd/ctrl z/y from Settings > Shortcut > Tray Menu.

When setting up CMD+Y as shortcut for show/hide tray popup it only works when I push CMD+Z.
CMD+Y does not work.
I have a QWERTZ keyboard and CH-DE mapping. Looks like a mapping issue.

In my shortcut settings, I have the shortcut for "Show/Hide Tray Menu" set to "Cmd"+"Y".
While clicking those two buttons, nothing happens. But if I click "Cmd"+"Z" the tray menu opens.
"Y" and "Z" are swapped in English compared to the German keyboard. Might this be the reason for the strange behaviour?

Hi Omar,
thank you for the feedback!
We are aware of the issue and we are working on some fixes :)

Hello Tobias and sorry for the problem you are facing. I guess you are not using an english keyboard. (maybe a german one?).
Can you try changing the default shortcut for the tray menu in Akiflow to something different than what it is right now? (by default it's cmd/ctrl + Y). Even though it's not set as cmd + Z, in some keyboard the Z is in the position of the Y of the english keyboard, that act as a reference. We are still working on how to improve the global shortcuts for some keyboards.
Let me know if this helps.

Can you be more detailed about what else is working poorly?
In your keyboard layout the only discrepancy should be about the Y and Z that are inverted from the english keyboard.
The "local" shortcuts (plan, snooze, etc) are working properly?
We are actually evaluating the possibility to allow the user to disable the global shortcuts.

We will check the issue about the akiflow show/hide and try to fix it. About the cmd + u, the current behaviour is normal because the tray window is supposed to appear just below the icon, and if the icon is not visible this could cause issues. We will check this as well.
