Hi everyone, we just released a new version with the 2-way sync Jira integration! Check out here for more information: https://www.notion.so/Jira-7830c9a843c44e73aa333ce74c622f36.
Please let us know what we can improve about it:)
I would love to have this integration. I'm using Jira in web browser and the notificiations module fells so much inconvinitent. Would be super nice to automaticaly create TODO's out of Jira notifications that have @mention or containts direct responses to task's or comments created by me:) Thanks
Hi everyone! Which Jira software are you currently using? What do you need to import in Akiflow? Thanks for your help:)
Stefania: Jira Cloud for me -- I would LOVE to be able to have my Jira issues synced with Akiflow so i don't have to pay for Zapier
Stefania: I am using Jira Cloud. It would be lovely if I were able to sync the certain types of issues in the currently going sprint that are assigned to me.
That is there would be some filters you can set on Akiflow that decides wich tasks to be imported.
Stefania: Enterprise-Level Self-Hosted behind a company firewall
Stefania: Jira Cloud! I've set up automations using Zapier for the moment. The top use-cases for me are -
- When I'm tagged on a comment in a Jira Issue
- When a Jira Issue is updated to add me as an Assignee
- Updates to a Jira issue I follow
I also use Confluence pretty heavily where "tasks" are created on meeting notes where I get tagged again.
Stefania: Jira Cloud. Would be nice to sync tasks with Akiflow according to some mapping, tricky part is to arrange this mapping as it is not easy as "this is in progress, this is done"
Mihhail Sidorin: Hi! Can you tell me more about the mapping you need? Thanks
Stefania: Imagine you want to sync Jira with Akiflow. E.g. task AB-12 in status Backlog, what will be the status when task marked as done in akiflow? How would you know? and CD-23 task might have totally different workflow with different approach. Who is going to be assignee for the next status, e.g. "need feedback from reporter" ?
Is there any update on the timeline for the native integration? I don't want to pay for Zapier plus i'd like a two way sync.
It is not convenient to use Zappier for 2-way sync.
Main challenge here is to manage multiple JQL sets of tasks (I bet you need to set them as separate integrations). And later mapping of Akiflow task state changes to Jira Workflow statuses which are unique per given kind of task.
Hi everybody :)
I have a suggestion about the Jira integration. Actually, my Jira does not work through Zapier.
A super useful (and the only one that works) integration that I found in my IDE is CodeStream https://www.codestream.com/
I wish I could do the same in Aki
Angelo Sparapano: Hi Angelo, thanks for your feedback. Could you please tell me more about why Jira <> Zapier is not working for you?
Stefania: Hi Stefania,
Actually I don't know because Zapier message is not really talking that much.
I think the only way I can access my Jira is via PAT (Personal Access Token) and it's the way CodeStream access it.
Angelo Sparapano: Hi Angelo, I know you discuss this in the community as well. Let me know if I can help with anything else!
Native integration with Jira would be a huge selling point for me over others (Motion, Sunsama, etc). Zapier is a hastle.
We'll be working on the native integration. In the meantime, you can use Zapier to integrate with Jira; check here for more information:
- Jira Software Server: https://zapier.com/apps/jira/integrations/akiflow
- Jira Software Cloud: https://zapier.com/apps/jira-software/integrations/akiflow
- Jira Service Desk: https://zapier.com/apps/jira-service-desk/integrations/akiflow
Let me know if you have any questions :)
