One thing that I find a bit jarring / annoying is the loading indicator. It is shown every time I come into the app. Even if I only swipe to another app for a second and then come back. It’s even more visible when I come into the app and immediately open my inbox, as now it’s shown in 2 places. In the app header and in the inbox header.

How can we make this less prominent while still allowing the feedback it’s trying to give the user? Is it really needed to be displayed every time?

If it’s really needed (and other people agree with my feedback) one suggestion could be to use a minimal loading spinner with a more subtle colour in the header next to search and only show it there. (Or if really necessary to include when the inbox is open show it next to the ellipsis but I really don’t think it should be displayed twice).
