Improve Android Widget Functionality

I’d love to see improvements to the Android widget to make it more useful for daily planning and quick actions. Specifically, adding an app launch button (e.g., the Akiflow logo) that opens the home screen instead of a specific task would simplify access. A “Today View” showing all scheduled tasks and events including all-day items with options to hide or show completed tasks and a section for tasks without a set time would make the widget much more actionable. Finally, the ability to mark tasks as complete directly from the widget would remove friction and reduce the need to open the app. Together, these changes would turn the widget into a much more powerful and interactive tool.

Show overnight slots in both days' overviews (Rituals)

I want overnight slots (e.g., 11 PM to 7:30 AM) to be visible in both the evening overview of the start day and the morning/night overview of the following day. Currently, they only show in the overview of the day they start, which makes it hard to see them during morning planning if they end before the "Day starts at" time.

Suppress Google "Out of Office" (OOO) events by calendar

I want the ability to suppress Out of Office event types from a specific calendar in the Akiflow view, without hiding the entire calendar. This is important because OOO events show up in my Akiflow view alongside my personal calendar events, creating visual clutter. Since I already know why I'm unavailable, these events have no value in my consolidated view - they exist purely for my team's benefit in Google Calendar. Google exposes a distinct eventType field (outOfOffice) in the Calendar API, so a targeted filter seems technically feasible.

Sync All Assigned Tasks from Asana (Across All Projects)

Currently, task syncing only works for specific projects, which creates a major limitation when working in dynamic environments where new projects are constantly being created. I’d like the ability to automatically sync all tasks assigned to me in Asana, regardless of which project they belong to. Right now, having to manually add or track each new project is inefficient and leads to missed tasks.

I want an MCP (Model Context Protocol) connector for Akiflow. This would allow AI assistants like Claude to connect directly to Akiflow to read, create, and update tasks. This is important because it would enable workflows like asking an AI "What's on my plate today?", automatically creating tasks from documents, and having an AI help prioritize or reschedule tasks based on calendar availability, removing the need for manual data entry.

Link Subtasks to High-Level Goals with Progress Tracking

Users would benefit from the ability to link subtasks (or tasks) to higher-level goals and visualize progress toward those goals based on completion. Currently, there is no clear way to connect day-to-day execution with broader objectives, which makes it harder to track meaningful progress. Enabling this linkage, along with a progress indicator (e.g., percentage or completion bar), would help users stay aligned with their priorities, increase motivation, and provide better visibility into how individual tasks contribute to long-term outcomes.

Project-Specific Mobile Widget Filters

Users would benefit from the ability to create mobile widgets that display tasks filtered by a specific project (e.g., “Errands”). Currently, widgets lack granular filtering, limiting their usefulness for quick, context-based task access on mobile. Enabling users to select a project when configuring a widget would allow them to surface only relevant tasks, improving focus, usability, and speed when managing day-to-day activities directly from their home screen.

Customizable Notetaker Name & Background Display

Users currently cannot customize the (Meeting Assistant) notetaker’s name or background display in Aki Assistant during calls, which can feel impersonal and misaligned, especially in client-facing meetings where branding and professionalism matter. This limitation may create confusion for participants and reduce trust in the tool. Enabling simple customization options (such as editing the notetaker name, choosing a preset theme, or adding a custom avatar/logo) would improve user experience, increase adoption in external calls, and better support teams who want the assistant to match their brand and workflow.

Dynamic Deep Focus Block

would like the ability to set a target amount of deep work time (e.g., 4 hours per day) without assigning it to a fixed schedule. The system should dynamically preserve this focus time by allowing meetings/bookings only if the remaining calendar still supports the defined deep work duration, similarly to adaptive scheduling tools, ensuring protected focus time while maintaining flexibility for meetings.

Aki Planned Time vs Clickup Estimated Time

On ClickUp, I put time estimates on the top-level tasks based on what was quoted to clients. When ClickUp syncs my tasks to Aki, Aki sets the estimated time as the planned time. Which makes sense, objectively, but I don’t often work on the tasks in one sitting because there will be a long list of subtasks. When I plan a task in the calendar, I may only be planning it for 2 hours that day, instead of the total 6 estimated hours, for example. I would be fine to sort this out manually by duplicating the task or something, but the problem is that it then changes the estimated time on ClickUp to the 2 hours planned. If we could choose to sync the Aki planned time to the ClickUp time tracked instead, that would be great! Or just turn off the time syncing all together, and handle it manually. Or, if Aki pulled in the subtasks, not just the top level task from ClickUp, then I could put more realistic/accurate time estimates on the subtasks, and the planned time would line up more reasonably.

more availability sections needed

I would really like to be able to allow people to select length of meeting! for example they could have a dropdown to choose between 15min, 30min, 1h. and then different slots would be shown to them. this is the number one feature I miss coming over from Motion! their scheduling links were superior in that sense. I’d also like to be able to customise the page for the links but that’s totally secondary.
