Release 2.79
This release brings a brand-new mobile navigation, full-page search, a redesigned chat experience, and faster task lists on mobile, plus a new way to create subtasks by dragging on desktop and a focused round of reliability improvements across integrations and sync.
Create subtasks by dragging with Shift - Hold Shift and drop one or more tasks onto another to turn them into subtasks.
Fixed compressed long events showing the wrong AM or PM time.
Fixed a crash when updating an RSVP on a recurring event.
Improved recovery when a change to an event fails to save, so it syncs correctly on the next attempt.
Connected integrations now show clearly when setup is still incomplete.
Start Sync and Save Changes now indicate which one applies to the change you made.
Improved WhatsApp verification with clear messages for each error state.
Fixed account configuration changes sometimes failing to save and legacy account migrations crashing.
Fixed several label, time-slot, calendar, and settings sync failures.
Fixed recurring tasks asking you to save even when nothing changed.
Fixed the due-date picker being clipped when opened near the bottom of the window.
Fixed large selection menus freezing the interface.
Fixed the collapsed navigation highlighting More when another section was active.
Resolved several rare crashes involving notifications, saved settings, clipboard monitoring, and browser messaging.
Brand-new navigation - A redesigned navigation bar and simpler page-to-page flows make the app easier to move around.
Full-page search - Search now has a dedicated page with an updated design.
Redesigned chat - A cleaner structure and simpler unread indicator make conversations easier to scan.
New event editor - Create and edit events in a refreshed flow, including choosing whether an RSVP change applies to one occurrence or the whole recurring series.
One switch for AI features - Turn all Aki features on or off from a single setting.
Improved task-list speed and responsiveness, especially with larger lists.
Refreshed integration settings, including a clear status while an account is disconnecting.
Added loading indicators for actions that require an internet connection.
Simplified event details and time-slot editing by removing misleading or redundant controls.
Fixed Akiflow item links opening the app without opening the linked task, event, or time slot.
Fixed calendar slots near midnight being covered by the navigation bar.
Fixed dismissed meeting suggestions not disappearing immediately across mobile, desktop, and web.
Fixed blank calendar states and restored horizontal scrolling in the mini calendar.
Fixed Aki showing as enabled after navigating or switching accounts, even when it was turned off. Aki no longer accepts messages while it is disabled.
Fixed description text overlapping its header.
Improved stability by resolving an out-of-memory issue affecting some mobile sessions.
Focus Timer on the web - Start and track focus sessions directly from the web app. Available once you have used Focus Timer at least once on the Akiflow Desktop app.
