Release 2.81
Open Akiflow links directly in Desktop, choose a default conference tool for each calendar account, and capture tasks and events with your voice on mobile. These are the three highlights of Release 2.81, alongside improvements to planning, calendars, sync, and reliability.
Open links in Desktop - Open task, event, and time-slot links from Slack, email, or your browser directly in the Akiflow desktop app. Choose Always open in the app to make it your preference for that browser.
Per-account conference defaults - Choose a separate default conference tool for each connected Google or Outlook account, including a specific Zoom account.
Drag tasks onto This week or This month in the navigation to plan them.
Reordering tasks creates fewer sync updates, especially in large lists.
Moving one recurring occurrence to Inbox, Someday, or a week or month plan keeps it connected to its series without duplicating the original occurrence.
Fixed a recurring occurrence disappearing when moved to Today with Only this.
Fixed the task popup closing when you complete a subtask.
Fixed missing tasks and events in Week View and previous or next week buttons becoming unexpectedly disabled.
Fixed all-day and multi-day events disappearing or leaving gaps after scrolling.
Fixed 12-hour calendar labels wrapping incorrectly in some languages.
Fixed missing Zoom conference links when creating meetings.
Fixed clearing selected task-status filters in ClickUp settings.
Fixed sync failures affecting tasks, labels, and time slots, including Someday plans, recurring tasks, and tasks with local file links.
Fixed automatic project assignment for tasks created inline in the Inbox.
Added Claude and ChatGPT logos to the Work with AI menu.
Reduced the desktop app's download and installation footprint.
Fixed the desktop app failing to reopen after logout and a rare macOS shutdown crash.
Fixed rare failures involving the tray window, project picker, task navigation, calendar visibility, recurring time slots, and notification windows.
Fixed the account deletion confirmation field not accepting text.
Tap to record on mobile - Press and hold + to start recording, release your finger, then tap Send. Continue using Akiflow while Aki processes your request.

Respond to invitations through MCP - Ask your connected AI assistant to accept, decline, or tentatively accept eligible calendar invitations.
Task locations through MCP - Add, change, or remove task locations. Schedule responses now include locations for tasks and events.
Fixed Trello completion changes not reaching Akiflow, including cards moved to Done, marked complete, or archived.
Fixed marking a Notion task incomplete not syncing back to Akiflow.
Made Notion sync faster and reduced unnecessary work for large workspaces.
Improved integration recovery after temporary provider errors.
Fixed Meet with incorrectly reporting that a shared Google Calendar is inaccessible.
