How to create tasks

Learn all the ways to create new tasks in Akiflow using the Command Bar, integrations, or quick actions to plan your work faster.


You can create tasks from different sources

Integrations

Import tasks automatically from your favorite tools into Akiflow. Once connected, new tasks will appear in your Inbox or on their scheduled dates if already planned.

For example, capture emails as tasks from Gmail, or import existing tasks from Todoist and ClickUp to keep everything organized in one place.

Command Bar

Hit ALT/OPTION + SPACE from anywhere to open the Command Bar, type what you need, and hit Enter to quickly create a new task.

The Capture feature

Use the Command Bar to quickly fetch links by only copying a short text from the website. Check out how it's done here: Command Bar

Using shortcuts

  • In the Tasklist: Hit C or click on Add New Task button.

  • In the calendar: Hit cmd/ctrl + click to start creating a task.

Directly from the calendar

  • Click on the calendar and select Task.

  • Right-click on the calendar and pick Add new task . You can customize this shortcut in Settings > Shortcuts.


Deleted Tasks

You can recover deleted tasks by going to All Tasks › Trashed.
From there, review your deleted tasks and choose Restore if you want to bring any back.
