Travel time
I’d love to see travel time automation in Akiflow, similar to what Apple Calendar offers. The main value for me is that it removes the manual step of looking up how long travel will take and deciding how much buffer to block.
Here’s how I imagine it could work:
When adding travel time to an event, Akiflow could try to prefill the “From” location by using the location of the event right before it (as a best guess for where you’ll be). And of course, it would still be possible to override that manually.
It would be great if it supports multiple transportation modes, like walking, cycling, public transit, and car.
On the calendar side, two things would be especially helpful:
In Akiflow itself, travel time could show up as a visually distinct block from the actual meeting (so it’s immediately clear what’s travel vs the event).
In other calendars like Google Calendar, it could be created as a real event called “Travel time”, so it blocks availability there as well and nobody schedule over it.
One extra idea that would feel really smart:
Closer to the meeting (actually probably various checks as you need to be informed earlier when the travel time is longer compared to when it's shorter), Akiflow could re-check whether the estimated travel time still looks accurate (traffic, weather, delays), adjust the travel time automatically and warn you about the changes so you're aware.
Also, if the event before it changes (duration or location), it would be great if travel time gets recalculated as well, since that can directly affect where you’re leaving from and when.
And a couple of thoughts where Akiflow could potentially differentiate from Apple:
Travel time after the event too, not just before (getting back matters as well, depending on the situation).
Walking as a transportation method would be amazing (already mentioned above, but calling it out as a differentiator).
If you make it so that it's flexible/non-mandatory/and easily overridden, it would be super flexible. Would love to see this.

Event: Travel Time From Current Location To The Destination
It would be nice if when a location is added in the event created, an information about the total travel time FROM the current location will show up or indicated.

Add travel time block to meetings
Hi there,
a time block for the travel time would be very helpful for the appointment, so that the total time of the appointment can be planned better. The appointment would then be a total block, which would be divided into, for example, outward travel and appointment.
the travel time would be calculated based on the current position and the appointment location.

Automatic Travel Time Calculation and Leave Reminders
Allow users to set a default "office location" (e.g., "Mazda Mauritius, Grewals lane, Pailles").
When an external appointment is created with a specific address, automatically calculate the estimated travel time from the user's default office location to the appointment address.
Based on this travel time, provide a reminder to the user about when they should leave the office to arrive at the appointment on time.
This would be a fantastic addition for managing external meetings and ensuring timely arrivals.

AKI: Smart Scheduling with Drive Time Estimation and Location Memory
It would be incredibly helpful if Aki could handle scheduling not just for meetings, but also for the "drive time required" to attend them. Ideally, users could:
Ask Aki to schedule a meeting and provide a "location address"
Aki would then "query an external service (e.g., Google Maps)" to determine the estimated travel time.
Based on that estimate, Aki would "automatically block off the appropriate drive time" before and/or after the meeting on the user's calendar.
"Bonus Features"
Dynamically "adjust drive time blocks" based on real-time traffic conditions.
"Remember frequently used addresses" (e.g., "home," "office," "warehouse") for quicker and smarter scheduling in future prompts.

locations for tasks, travel time option, reminder
some tasks require travel and are not always "events" (grocery store). an option for reminders with a time to leave and perhaps option to block out calendar time for travel.

Add trip time between events
I'd like Akiflow to automatically add commute time between events.

This would be amazing. If I'm planning my day, I need to know the total amount of time an event takes up - but I also need to have the actual event start time be accurate.
I've been creating additional 'commute' events but it's not ideal

That’s great news. Great work Akiflow Team. Thanks for bring this into Akiflow. It will be a really handy feature.
Is it possible that with future revisions travel can be also added to Tasks? Although I do use events, sometimes I might travel to a location to undertake a Task/s and being able to tack travel onto that/those Tasks as part of a workflow.
Thanks for the continued improvements.
EDIT: PS: Time travel on Time Slots would also be great. Eg: I have a slot filled with tasks at a location other than where I am. I need to travel to that location to carry out said tasks. It is not an event, so having travel time tied to this would be great.
Currently I have to constantly create “travel time” as a task in Akiflow to allow for the appropriate travel time.
Travel time shouldn’t be just limited to Events.
