Release 2.77
A focused follow-up to the Summer Release. The four big Summer Release features - Akiflow MCP, Subtasks, the Daily Dashboard, and Schedule Optimizer - have now finished their staged rollout and are available to everyone. This build builds on that with a major mobile performance and a handful of new quality-of-life touches, and more than 100 fixes across desktop and mobile.
Focus Timer in the command bar - Start, pause, and resume the Focus Timer straight from the command bar, without leaving your flow.
Custom event quick-messages - Email event guests with your own custom message alongside the presets like "running late" and "unable to attend".
Time range while dragging - Moving an event or time slot on the calendar now shows the exact time range it will land on, matching the feedback you already get for tasks.
Copy Task ID - Copy the MCP-compatible ID of any task from the task menu, ready to paste into Claude or Codex to act on that exact task.
Event quick-message templates are now aware of the event date, so they no longer say "today" for an event scheduled on another day.
Declined events by the organizer now show with strikethrough in shared MeetWith calendars.
Removing recurrence now behaves consistently as "this and future" across desktop and mobile.
Fixed a duplicate event being created after removing a guest.
Fixed deleting a recurring event leaving stale instances behind.
Restored the cancellation status indicators in the Meet With Future view.
Quick-message emails no longer add the sender to the To field.
Fixed several crashes when scheduling tasks, time slots, and events that involved recurrence rules.
The shortcuts list now refreshes automatically when you edit a shortcut.
Fixed the app becoming laggy and unresponsive over long sessions.
Fixed the text formatting toolbar getting stuck in Focus Mode on longer notes.
Fixed confirmation popups losing keyboard focus on Windows.
Fixed a set of crashes including an infinite render loop, the command bar, the notification window, and event popup edge cases.
Faster to load and lighter overall thanks to a smaller app bundle and re-compressed assets.
Added a friendly update screen for very outdated versions of the app.
Refreshed the Meeting Assistant icon.
Fixed Notion "sync now" failing.
A major performance overhaul makes sync faster and lighter, especially on large workspaces, and meaningfully reduces battery drain and overheating.
Polished the Upcoming widget with small color, cropping, and tap-target refinements.
Smoother modals, bottom sheets, and dismiss animations across tags, deadline, add-guest, and project dialogs.
Fixed the calendar showing dates one day off.
Tasks inside recurring and evening time slots now stay collapsed in their slot instead of spilling onto the calendar.
Fixed a gray cell appearing over an existing event.
Fixed recurring tasks jumping back to their original time after a second move.
Fixed the Share Availability page getting stuck on loading.
Fixed Aki chat occasionally showing a "connection not ready" error when opening.
Aki chat is now correctly disabled when Aki is turned off in settings.
Expired chats older than 30 days no longer linger in the chat list.
A large stability push resolved a wide range of crashes, freezes, and background ANRs, including sync hangs, out-of-memory crashes, main-thread hangs on large task lists, and background sync timeouts.
Fixed users being unexpectedly logged out.
Live Activity for Daily Dashboard view now updates reliably in the background.
Lower background CPU and battery usage from the widget and Live Activity rework.
Improved MCP task planning accuracy, including "this week" and "next week" buckets, someday tasks, link handling, and task titles.
Fixed Zapier task creation failing with a server error.
Fixed a shared Outlook sub-calendar not being accessible in MeetWith.
Improved Aki chat reliability by fixing channel-creation failures.
