Hi there! 👋 I'm reaching out from Pipedream, an integration platform that offers an SDK for developers to embed our full catalog of API connectors directly into their products.
We’d love to onboard Akiflow to our app integrations via the Akiflow API. This would allow users to automate workflows between Akiflow and hundreds of other apps—right from within their existing tools.
Looking forward to seeing this API become available. It would unlock powerful use cases for both Akiflow users and developers building on Pipedream.

Sergio Wong: Thanks for this! I’ll pass it along to the rest of the team.

huge potential with aki but the current workflow options are too limited, without and API it may be a non starter. for example, i would need to manually move a todist task to an aki project even though i have already created it in todoist and put in the right todoist project. double the work

What a PR stunt to still respond to all our requests for years. Accept that it is, not in their business model or interests at all. Enjoy what you get otherwise look elsewhere if that's a hard need.

This would be life-changing. Even if we don't get a proper API, it would be nice to at least have a webhook that accepts a JSON payload for adding tasks to Akiflow

Can we help with this? As this is clearly a highly requested feature. It would make our jobs a lot easier :) Zapier integration exists, so an API of sorts must exist as well.

Kelly Crabbé: Appreciate you bringing this up! It’s not on our roadmap right now, but we absolutely see the demand and hope we can work on it down the line.

Jeson P I realize this is the default answer; seeing as this has been 'down the line' for 4yrs. Maybe it is time to say "Nope, we just don't want to do it."
I love Aki, don't get me wrong - I have been advocating FOR Akiflow everywhere, but honestly without an API, I have got to look elsewhere.
Jeson P
Kelly Crabbé: We cannot say no for sure! But we totally understand you and for now this is not our priority.

Please do this... I can't wait to automate the hell out of Akiflow with my other tools.

In 2025, it’s frustrating to see that while Akiflow positions itself as a tool for everyone, including developers, it still lacks even basic API support.
Jeson P
Ruben Khachaturov: We completely understand the need for this. It’s not something we’ve planned for yet, but we will definitely share if we have it in the roadmap!

I can't believe a product in 2025 didn't come out of the box with this. Nearly EVERY SW Dev framework has REST built-in. It's nearly trivial. Add OAuth2 or Token/API and it's done.
Seriously, if they gave a mid-level programmer access to their code base, they could add this in an afternoon if they use ANY modern framework.
This makes no sense.
And there must be SOME API, because every integration they use MUST use something.
What is up?

Are there any plans to add this to the roadmap this year?
Jeson P
Weston Stewart-Tennes: We cannot give any timelines yet! :(

Jeson P Are you willing to then say this will not be a feature that is going to be built in the next year? Because it's been over 4 years now... I would like some clarity as I plan on what tool I'll be using over the next few years. Thanks

It would be really nice to have an api, to potentially integrate with other services that are not supported yet
