Assign a project to an event

I'd like the ability to add projects to meetings, this will allow time blocking (you can group related project tasks in and around meetings). it will also allow tracking the time spent in each project (area/category/project).

Was searching for how I could do this and just want to further support that this feature would be so nice, especially because it would help make the statistics more useful. Changing meetings to tasks just so I can have a better idea of where I'm spending my time

Giving Akiflow a spin as I've heard great things and hhis feels like the biggest missing thing for me from the current tool I use. Coming from Sunsama, this is something that is extremely useful in tracking what's getting my attention over time. I could probably work around it by throwing a time slot over the meeting but so much cleaner to just add the project to the meeting and would travel with the meeting if it's rescheduled or recurring.

+1 from my side:
I'm a big fan of life management rather than task / project management using projects to reflect all my different life areas.
Currently I'm doubling my (non-project) events by tasks of the specific project / life area. This way I can check whether I allocated 24h/day in the daily stats / full statistics. Having events with project fields would make this much easier. However, an event may have various projects / life areas. To add tasks within the event like in a time slot as suggested below would be great!

With the new Statistics feature, this is even more important! Would love to analyze my time, but tasks are only half my calendar, the other half is meetings. I'd love to tie those meetings to projects or tasks in statics.

Wanting this really bad, because events are not the same and having ability to track general distribution of time between projects is really key even in events. Currently i am using workaround to make a task for the same event and assign project to it and ignore event statistics at all.

Label allow us to categories tasks. They could be used to catergorize calendar events to different calendar... makes sense no?

I love the idea of being able to label events and meetings for organization and as a makeshift form of time tracking. It'd be great to have actual time tracking built in as well.
