Ability to Attach Files or Links to Recurring Events
L
Lyndsey Seymore
I would like the ability to attach a file or a persistent link to all instances of a recurring event.
For example, I have a recurring team meeting every Tuesday for the next six weeks related to ProjectA. The notes and resources for ProjectA are stored in a Google Doc. I would like to attach this link to the recurring meeting so that it appears in every instance, allowing me to easily access and reference it.
Google Calendar already provides this functionality, allowing users to attach files and links to recurring events so they remain accessible across all occurrences. It would be extremely helpful to have a similar feature in Akiflow, supporting both file attachments (e.g., Word documents) and URLs, ensuring that important resources and notes are always available within recurring events.

This is a huge feature. Waiting for it for years!

John Villarasa Hi John,
Could you explain why the feature is taking longer than expected? Is it due to software architecture challenges?
Jeson P
Richard: Hi! Jeson here from Team Akiflow 🙂 This is not currently part of our design and tool vision. This would also take so much time and we are currently maximizing this time to improve the tool's existing features.

Absolutely need to support file attachments - especially because other people are sending attachments to me and I'm not aware of it in Akiflow!

I suspect about the voting numbers for this feedback. All of the small updates having huge votes like 500-600 and for the attachments we could only see 200 votes. Number of comments are more here than any other feedbacks.
My doubt is "Is akiflow intentionally lowering these votes since they don't want to deal with this feedback now?

Ajitkumar: Hi Ajitkumar, thanks for reaching out!
I can assure you that we'd never do that, votes and comments are a huge help to understand what our users want and a tool we love to use to interact with you. I don't see any reason why we'd do that, no one is forcing us to build anything :)

Stefania Ok , I trust you. However this feature was 1st requested 3 years ago, yet there is no progress on it. It feels really bad.
There is no native tick tick integration and no attachment functionality in akiflow app, it makes our life harder than it is already.
Give us some concrete date on when it will be done. Else people will start to have these kind of trust issues that I'm currently having with Akiflow

It's almost a dealbreaker for me, that I can't attach files. Almost each task requires some kind of visual info or a file. I also ready to leave the app for a competitor who has this feature. WE need at least 5-10mb per file, if you are not able to pull of bigger sizes.
Jeson P
Sergei: We hear you on this one! We wanna focus on improving first what we currently have before adding more features. Some really takes time to do and we want to be efficient with handling improvements. We will keep you posted here for sure! :)

Thank you! I've just committed to a one-year plan of Akiflow. Hopefully, there will be an attachment feature eventually.
