The more I use Akiflow, the bigger this issue becomes. Akiflow become a dashboard for all my work, but lacking 2-way synching means it is always out of date.
Akiflow will never replace gmail/superhuman (nor is designed to). So users need to work in gmail. But if they unstar in gmail or mark as done in superhuman, it doesn't update Akiflow.
It works properly in clickup and other integrations... its such a shame that gmail, which has to be the #1 most integrated app, doesn't fully work the same way.

Nate Friedman: Hi Nate, thank you so much for your feedback, I really appreciate it. Gmail has some complications other integrations do not have but we do understand your use case and we'll consider this. Thanks again

This really is a missing piece of workflow. If a "star" in gmail creates a task then completing it in gmail (i.e. unstarring it) should really close the task.

Surprised this is not higher on the list. I like to manage my emails from my email app (I use Spark). Un-starring (Unpinning in Spark) as I go through answering emails.
Would be good to have those removed without manually going back to Akiflow to complete the task.

Yes, and similar with Superhuman integration. When I mark as task in Akiflow as done, Superhuman set as unstar and done.
Stefania
Eva: Hi Eva, if you mark an Akiflow task as done, the Superhuman email should get un-starred (if you picked this choice).
This feature request is for the other way around: getting the Akiflow task marked as done when you un-star/un-label an email in Gmail/Superhuman.

Stefania: Oh, I see, sorry. So have you registered also my request within the way: mark an Akiflow task as done, the Superhuman email should get un-starred (if you picked this choice) AND marked as DONE.
Stefania
Eva: Yes, here it is: https://akiflow.canny.io/features-and-improvements-request/p/archive-an-email-when-marking-a-task-as-done :) Thanks Eva!
