Group Tasks in tasklist

I'd love to be able to "Group" tasks by due date, project, duration, etc.
I know there are filters, but it would be helpful to see all the tasks but with custom views.
This could be applied to Projects, Today, Upcoming, etc.

Would be great to have the option to group tasks (by project/tag/priority etc) in Today/upcoming/project lists etc.
It can look quite cluttered when there are a lot of tasks in the Today view, for example.

Group Tasks by Project Tag

Currently in ToDoist and other apps there's a way to look at the Today or To-Do List and group the tasks by the labels. Not just sort them, but legitimately make separate buckets that you can expand or collapse on the different lists.

+1 to this. This would compliment the new weekly/monthly horizons quite nicely!

Group tasks by Tag

Please allow us to group tasks by Tag. I would love to set the day up so I can see all the day's tasks group by context (maybe light, medium, and deep work; or Admin, Calls, and Meeting Tasks). It would make the use of Tags much more useful and meaningful to me. Thank you!
Jeson P
Thank you for this visual example! :)

Hello Dodge! When we add a tag to a task, we can easily view the tasks associated with that specific tag. Additionally, we can add multiple tags to a single task. This means that if you want to add a task to different tags, such as for status or task level, you can do so without any issues.
Let me know if this is not clear or does not answer your question!

Jeson P, Thanks for the response! What I'm asking for is the option to see my Today view (especially) laid out where my tasks are grouped: Admin tasks are together, my Communication tasks are together, my Evening @ Home tasks are together, etc., so I can see their contexts and complete them in a grouped way. Todoist gives this view, and it's really helpful.

Dodge: If I understand it correctly, you want them to have a separate section grouping relevant tags. Same with the 'To'dos' and 'Scheduled On Calendar' sections?

Jeson P Hi, Jeson. I think so, if I follow how you’re following me. :) Said another way: In the same way that we can see tasks grouped by Project if we want, or by Priority, this suggestion is to allow us to have our day’s tasks grouped by the associated Tags themselves as one optional view. There’s value to seeing the day’s tasks broken down by context (one great use for Tags) so those items can be done together. For me, that might be a group of Communication tasks (emails, calls); Admin tasks (catching up paperwork); Deep Work (high-impact work toward a primary project); and Errands to complete after work. Does that more make sense as to why it helps to have those grouped together? There’d be lots of flexibility with Tags as the organizing principle because they can pull from all Projects but be done together when we’re in that mode. Below is a screen shot of Carl Pullein doing something like this in Todoist, where he’s switched to this kind of view. I like having headings, the way Todoist shows things, but even a space between each group of tags would help.

Oh, yes, please! Was going to ask the same. This would really make the Tags much more useful. For example, we might view all Admin tasks together, Email work together, etc. Really helps limit context switching.

Yup, this. I want to be able to "build" time slots in the list, then add them to my calendar when I have a clearer idea of what actually needs to be done and how long it might take.

So when the user uses the "Copy and Share" feature, they can see how much time was allotted for each tag.
