So grateful this is being explored!!!! But, in its current form, it is not very useful for me.
- It doesn't appear anywhere besides "Today" - I'd love it in Inbox at a minimum (I never have the Today tab open because I can see everything for today already in the calendar view).
- Need to be able to add more than one note
- Need to be able to jot down a quick note from the Command Bar
- Having a private note for a calendar event would be much more useful for me
- I would imagine a fully fleshed out note feature to have notes that are searchable, taggable, sortable, filterable, and each note should be able to be associated with multiple tasks, events, and dates for awesome cross-referenceability and productivity. But even baby steps toward this would be amazing.
FWIW - a competitor, Fellow, does a good job with notes in this way. But their problem is they went way too far down the team model that I no longer felt I was their target user. Akiflow rightfully focuses on MY productivity, not a team's.
Thanks for exploring this!!

Charlie Glommen: Hi Charlie, thank you so much, I really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts:)
Everything is clear, I'll keep you posted if we proceed in this direction!

Hi everyone! In yesterday's release we added a Quick Notes section in Today Page and in the Rituals. What do you think about it?
You can find here the list of the new updates: https://product.akiflow.com/changelog.
Thanks:)

Stefania I love the direction. It will make sense to integrate it fully in the other features. Right now, it doesn’t tie to any specific tasks, projects or dates. I don't think you can create and save notes and then retrieve them.
It's worth exploring the use cases for it and developing it in an integrated feature.
Stefania
Vic Kalchev: Thanks Vic, really appreciate that! Yes this is just a start, based on user feedback and use of the feature we'll take it from here:)

Stefania it's a great start, I can see using it when wrapping up my week for recording a mini self retro of the week, however, I would love to see it expanded further. The main use case I'm thinking is being able to take notes during a meeting (or task) and have them linked to that meeting or task and being able to easily go back and review, or search those notes.
My workflow today is to just drop a link to my notes in the meeting description, which is helpful, but having it all in one place would be awesome.
Stefania
Nick Clark: Hi Nick, thank you so much! I see you upvoted that request already (notes for meetings) and I totally get that! I'll keep you posted here (and there!) if we proceed in that direction. Thanks again:)

This is very much needed , if I have to take notes while in the meeting and also to make any short entries to a task

Ajitkumar: Hi I already sent this as a reply to a user but will paste it here in case this temporary option will be helpful for you :)
We have this idea: Try to create a project called #Notes and populate it with tasks labeled with the Note Title or any other identifier. Our task description and text field offer great flexibility. Another option is to add note tasks to the "Someday" page to keep your inbox and today's list uncluttered. These tasks in the "Someday" page can still be accessed within the project.
Let me know what you think of it!

Jeson P As a temporary solution, it would work indeed! Thank you for sharing!

Agreed, that is much needed in my workflow as well. Often, I have an meeting on my calendar, and I just want to write meeting notes. I like that fact that my note would be linked to that specific calendar event. Yes, there is a description/details section in events, but I can't always add notes in there if it's not my own personal calendar event.

Task Notes section separate from Description
Sometimes I have tasks that remain open because I'm waiting for someone to get back with me. Example: Schedule a kickoff meeting but depends on another thing. At the moment, I am just adding notes to the Task Description but I'd really like to keep that space clean and dedicated to the true task description and would instead like to have a Notes section on the Task or the ability to add comments to keep track.

I prefer to use an external app for note-taking, if this were to be implemented, could it be optional?

this is useful to centralize scheduling (akiflow) and planning (project management/notes) 🡢 ideally, both sit in one space

What's the plan on Notes?

Jarrod Kopp
I was wondering how Akiflow plans to handle notes to create a 'second brain.' Are they building an internal notes editor, or planning on additional integrations to any notetaking alternatives to Notion?
Stefania
Hi Jarrod! We don't have a 'second brain' feature planned for the future but we are considering adding notes to events, both private and that you could share with the other guests. I'll keep you posted about any news on notes! Thanks for your feedback.
