Share availability: show which slots I already shared

Vimcal Maestro: There is a toggle switch to “HOLD” times that are offered after you select your availability. For Akiflow, this switch would be in the left panel and would reserve the offered times in your calendar so noone can book over them. When your counterparty selects a time, the holds are removed and a time is booked. Also, if your counterparty never selects a time, you can simply select one of the holds, press delete, and it will ask you if you want to remove all of your holds.

Please please please! Need a way to not book over a time that I've already shared as a potential meeting time with a different person.

This would be super useful!

Share Availability: Subtle Available Slots Created Indicated In The Calendar View

It's nice to have a subtle way to indicate the potentially reserved availabilities I already shared on my main calendar page. Here is an example of what Notion Calendar offers, which is a good example of this.

Enable Time Slots for Availabilities

I would like to create a recurring Time Slot to do lunch meetings or coffee meetings. They should look like your normal recurring Time Slot but are bookable via the Availabilties feature. That way I can have regular weekly coffees or lunches with different clients and that slot will be held for that purpose but clients can choose the best days for them.
Stefania
Hi Jonathan! So you have already the slot for lunch (like from 1pm to 2pm) blocked by an event but someone else can add themselves to that event? Thank you!

Stefania: So I have a standing slot on Fridays, 1-3pm to have lunch with investors for example. I don't know from week to week which investor it will be, but I can lock that in as a recurring Time Slot. Then in my Share Availabilities, I set that Time Slot as bookable. Now I can send my booking link to any investor and they can pick a free Friday and we have lunch. :)
This way, I have a standing slot that I can see in my diary each week that reminds me I need to schedule lunch with an investor.

Jonathan Nguyen: Thanks for explaining Jonathan! We would keep using Events and not Time Slots (that are tasks container basically) for this kind of feature. I think this is request could actually solve your use case: https://product.akiflow.com/features-and-improvements-request/p/share-availability-show-which-slots-i-already-shared What do you think?

Stefania: IT doesn't address it exactly but it could work.

Stefania: Just to push this request again. What I am thinking of—and I think this is what the original post is—to see which slots I've shared as available, so I don't book other things on them. Google Calendar for workspace has this exact feature, which allow flexibility:
You can share reocurring slots for meetings every week, and see the slots (both booked and free on the calendar). Then you can easily manipulate them on a weekly basis, e.g., remove, move, or add slots as needed, from the calendar view.

Is there any comment on this feature? It does not feel to be difficult to implement. Would be great to hear Akiflow's thoughts
Stefania
Omar P: Hi Omar, this feature is not planned, I'll let you know if we decide to start working on it:)

Show 'active manual slots' in 'calendar settings'

Can you add a feature to toggle show/hide the 'active manual slots'?
Maybe marking the 'active slots' in another color or a specific pattern, so that it is visible that this is planned but not confirmed.

One interesting approach is how YouCanBookMe does this: you just define a keyword ("coaching", "call with me", whatever), and any cal event that is named with that keyword is now a bookable slot. The benefits of doing this are:
1) that visually, you know exactly where the bookable slots in your calendar are (for me, I have recurring events on certain times of the week), and
2) if you need to adjust your calendar & the bookable slots, it's just a matter of resizing / moving / deleting the cal. event on that day.
For me to be able to fully switch to Akiflow, I'd hope for this feature to be as flexible as this.

I noticed, the 'active manuals slots' are now enlisted. It would be great to have in the settings an option to 'lock automatically in the calendar' with 'availability = free'.

this feature request: the "HOLD" could be even added as pre-text on the calendar entry and the visualisation could be done by marking the field with grey diagonal stripes (see attachment)Load More
