AI Tasks auto-schedule: plan tasks automatically

Akiflow would be the perfect tool in my opinion, if it had some light AI auto-scheduling features. I'd love if when doing the morning ritual, there was an option to have each task auto-scheduled into the day. Reclaim has certain features that make this really helpful, such as being able to split longer tasks that you can't fit all into one day into smaller chunks of time that you can decide on (15 mins to a couple hours). Then it will split up longer tasks into multiple days, finding a good place for it based on priority, duration, and due date.
Also, if a task is missed in a day, it would be nice to pick "reschedule" and have it put it somewhere else automatically, again splitting up the task if need be. I know Stacks work somewhat like this, but my days aren't rigid enough to have recurring Stacks be set far in advance. Having an auto-reschedule feature that just moves the undone task to the next best slot would be helpful.

I initially thought I needed a full AI auto-schedule (like in Motion). I'm actually quite a fan of manually adding my tasks to the calendar. It makes the planning process more concious and deliberate. So I can wait on that.
But where the AI would come in handy is, when I need a to work on a task more time, that I could extend it and the bottom tasks would automatically be moved down. To do that automatically is quite a lot of work.

Agreed. I really like Akiflow but I have unfortunately decided to move to Reclaim + Todoist for this. The problem is that often some tasks might run overtime for me and I decide I actually want to spend more time on them rather than context switch. However, to do that, I have to change my entire schedule and move a lot of things around. An auto suggestion and blocking would be a game changer.
Even more frustrating is that I tried to over block for my tasks, but when I finish a task early, my next tasks should at the very least be moved up so I can start on them right away and see an accurate calendar of my tasks. Even Sunsama has this.
An AI scheduler with the ability to override decisions (e.g. by manually locking in a task in at a time) would convince me to come back and would justify a higher pricing point than Sunsam, e.g. There's no reason they should be priced the same as motion if they don't offer the same full fledged suite of features. I don't use motion though bc they don't work with my company's IT policies, they need a lot more permissions and I get a 401 when I try to integrate it with GCal

thats actually something the competition does offer and it would be SO helpful to have this.

We believe in deciding consciously what and when to work on something, but we are considering many ways to help you do it faster :) I'll keep you posted!

Would love to see this feature implemented.

Akiflow has been my go-to planner for a long time, but I recently tried out Motion Ai, which auto schedules my life, and it's been a massive game changer; however, it is still clunky and has some issues. If Akiflow had a similar feature, I would return in a heartbeat! Please add Thanks<3

Similar to Reclaim.ai's features to identify when the best time is to accomplish tasks, would like to see similar functionality in Akiflow in addition to the daily planning rituals. Particularly if we're able to combine this smart scheduling with the time box features. This is primarily in service of ADHD individuals who may need help prioritizing the smaller steps of a project before the final deadline utilizing AI to determine availability based on priority

Calendar Optimization by AI in the "Daily planning" Ritual

We propose adding a feature to the "Daily planning" ritual that involves integrating an AI-driven optimized calendar (like Motion...). This feature will take into account scheduled meetings, assigned tasks, as well as their deadlines, durations, and priorities to propose an optimal schedule. The AI will consider various parameters such as available time slots, time constraints, urgencies, and user preferences to generate an efficient and feasible plan.

Hi Stefania,
I'm reaching out to ask if there's any movement on the auto-scheduling feature request. Has there been any progress or internal discussions regarding this feature?
It's now one of the top 5 requests; and I believe its implementation, particularly alongside the command bar, would greatly elevate Akiflow's functionality compared to competitor apps. The addition of auto-scheduling could transform daily planning efficiency, making Akiflow a standout choice among task management apps.
I've been considering switching back to Reclaim.ai for their auto-schedule feature, but I'd prefer to stay with Akiflow if this update is on the horizon.
Stefania
Collin Oswald: Hi Collin, thanks for your message. I don't have any update for now, meaning we're still considering this. I'll keep you and everyone updated here :)

Stefania: this would be a game changer, I like the way motion has their auto scheduler. If Akiflow could pull off what motion has done, this app would be a no brainer for most. Sunsama has half way automated their planning but a full fledged motion scheduler would be fantastic!

Motion does this, Sunsama does this. I am currently evaluating multiple products. It seems unnecessarily complex to be doing all of this manually. Is Akiflow planning implementing this any time soon?
