It'd be awesome to have the option to open up a view of the slot where you can see "the inside" as a calendar, and drag&drop your tasks, resize them, etc, inside the slot.
In the normal day/week calendar view, the slot shows as a single block again.
This view could replace (or complement) the "Pinned" view, which is not that useful now, since it's just a list of tasks, so making adjustments to order and duration is not as easy as in a calendar view. Also note that many times all tasks in a slot belong to the same project, so you most likely can find the same tasks listed in the project page anyway...
Also, there's an issue currently where, after you spent a long time giving start times to all your tasks within a slot, if you move the whole slot to another time and all tasks get re-scheduled to the slot's start time!

It would be extremely beneficial if the Time Slot could become a "Floating Window" (Like a sticky note) that stays on top of all applications. Then the user can add tasks & complete tasks on this floating window, without having to switch between apps or sacrifice a screen for it. Additionally, the Floating window can work as a timer. TickTick has a "Sticky Note" feature, and it works beautifully without complicating its interface.

Also it'd be nice if when we drag a task to a specific time slot, the task got the time from where we are dragging it to, instead of always being added with the time that the slot starts at.
Example, i have time slot "work" recurring every day 9AM-6PM, and i put a lot of things into my inbox and then drag and drop to the day i'm supposed to do, inside the "work" timeslot.
But when i drag, even if i'm dragging it to 2PM, it will always be added into the time slot with 9AM.
Then I have to manually change each time of each task inside the slot, like for 10 tasks...
most days i just let it be at 9AM, but its distracting that I have the red due date in all 10 tasks even though I'm working well on them. I normally just reorder them, but it'd be nice if the time was changed when I drag and drop it into the slot

Focus mode for Time Slots and tasks
D
Diana
Ability to click on a time slot and view only the tasks within the slot in focus mode. Currently can only use focus mode with one task at a time, but would be nice to see the tasks in a time slot shaded on the side with the current task in focus mode.

Hi everyone, what do you think about the new "Pin" feature for Time Slots? https://product.akiflow.com/changelog/time-slot-labels-upgrade
We are already working on some improvements: make the column resizable and hiding some information to make it easier to read.

Stefania: this is an interesting option, but not really what I was looking for. The issue is it forces me to have a large/wider screen open. Instead of just opening the slot list in a focus screen to the size of the akiflow application (no matter what orientation or size).

Stefania: I like what you have done, and I wouldn't want you to remove it. However, this doesn't solve the problem for me.
Pin timeslot is a "nice to have" feature for me
focus
on timeslot - ONLY show tasks in current time slot, hide other information - is a must have feature for me. I have ADHD and seeing too many tasks / calendar on the screen all the time makes me just from task to task to task.
I really apprecaite your work on this app, it's very helpful and I encourage you to please keep going your efforts mean a lot to us!

From Joyce: "You have a lovely feature for opening a task as a nice focus page. but it would be nice to pull up a Slot list of tasks as a focus list. That way you could click each task on the left side to switch through each of the tasks nested within that slot list."

Please add this! it would really help to avoid getting distracted!

We are considering an option to "pin" your Slots net to the tasklist :)

Stefania: I think it's not the same. For me focus mode means I open time slot as full screen (full window) so the rest of the UI doesn't bother me and I can focus only on the tasks from the slot

Jakub: Yes that is similar to what Sunsama does. I think that would be really cool along with the progress bar

Jakub Yes I agree to this functionality request. When I’m in that Timeslot I want to focus on what is required then, not but distracted by other stuff.
