Add ability to search for projects in the Search page

I have many hashtags and ultimately I will have more and they are inside folders, so it could be nice if the search engine could display hashtags results

PS: Improving the Search functionality might not seem like a "sexy new feature" and indeed, it seems boring, but believe me, it is an absolute fundamental part of using Akiflow effectively.

Please give this the highest of priority.

    Thank you.

Brad: Hopefully by votes like this, this will be pushed further!

Yeah this is a big one for me too.

I end up with a silly number of tasks relating to a MANY different Projects, mainly from Linear and sometimes Todoist.

A proper search function should be able to find ALL of the tasks related to a Project.

If I know I need to focus on a Project, the last thing I want to do is leave Akiflow, go back to Linear (or similar), find the task/s and names, then return to Akiflow, search for them and hopefully find them. That wastes too much time.

I should be able to search for Project "X" and bring up ALL of the related unfinished tasks so I can either schedule them, prioritise them and/or put them into a Time Slot.

I think this should be doable, because the Project name is already carried over/imported by Akiflow. All you need to do is search for it and Akiflow should find it.

Currently the search function is currently somewhat underwhelming. Please make it better.

This is a really great feedback Kevin! Thank you! We will update you if we start working on it.

Jeson P thanks. Over time, projects can grow exponentially, making them increasingly difficult to locate. To address this, another option is add a filter above the projects panel that allows users to search by project name.

Hi Kevin! Thanks for the great suggestion! While folders are a good way to organize projects for now, a project name filter above the panel would definitely help streamline navigation as projects expand.

We appreciate your practical feedback! We're focused on optimizing current features for now, but once we are starting to working on it I'll let you know!

Thanks for helping us improve Akiflow!

Also, things like Don't show done items or show Inbox items only should be considered for Search filters. Wdyt?

Hi Robert! Thanks for your feedback. By "channel" you mean labels, right?

Highly need this one! Switching to many projects daily and without search it is a pain in the ass

Improve project management and search UI

The sidebar where you can manage you projects is incredibly unruly and hard to manage. It would be much better if there was a search bar and the ability to right click a projects to add it to a folder or to the "see more" section instead of unruly drag and drop.

Search Bar: Searchable ClickUp statuses and fields

It would be nice if I can search projects added to my ClickUp task to Akiflow and the rest of the imported customer information (list name, folder name, etc.) in the search bar for easy tracking.

Hi everyone, thanks for all the input on this one. Here's where things stand since the search redesign in Akiflow 2.83 on desktop and web:

    • In Search, open the view options and under Filter By pick Projects. You can select one or more projects (the picker has its own search box), and combine it with Tags and Status.
    • With the search box empty, Search lists all your open tasks, so filtering by a project shows every unfinished task in it, ready to schedule, prioritize or drop into a Time Slot.
    • The same menu has toggles to include done and deleted tasks, and Status lets you narrow to Inbox.

    What isn't covered yet:

    • Typing a project name in the search box still matches task titles and descriptions only.
    • The filter uses your Akiflow projects, not project names coming from Linear, Todoist, ClickUp or other integrations.
    • There's no search box above the Projects list in the sidebar.
    • Mobile search doesn't have project filters yet.

We're keeping this post open for those remaining parts, so keep the votes and comments coming.
