One of the ways I use my to-do app is to capture non-actionable ideas and notes. Akiflow’s quick capture is so good that I often use it to save books I want to read, recipes I want to try, links people share with me, and places I want to visit.
At the moment, however, there’s no good way to store these items in Akiflow because of its planning and scheduling requirements. I have separate projects for each type of reference list under a folder called “Reference.”
The capture experience is great, but the problem is that every item needs a date assigned before it can be moved out of the Inbox. Assigning a “Someday” date creates another issue: my actionable Someday list— which I use for future planning—becomes cluttered with non-actionable items such as books, recipes, and links.
I’m not sure what the ideal solution would look like, but I’d love a way to store non-actionable items without having them appear in or clutter the Inbox, Someday list, or planning workflows.
