Akiflow not always synching with Linear

I seem to find a fair number of completed tasks (in Akiflow) that do not seem to synch back to Linear. I really rely on this being an automatic process and don't have time to deal with tasks that I have already done (in Akiflow) to only discover them still floating around in Linear.

This seems to be a reasonably regular occurrence.

Can you look into this issue and improve the synchronisation process?

    Hi Brad as per the devs the issue is not persistent on our testing. Can you try reintegrating your linear to Akiflow and let us know if the issue still occurs?

      Hello.

      Please find attached an example of the issue. I find plenty of them. The synch isn't reliable when marking a task complete in Akiflow (doesn't mark it complete in Linear). This just causes me more work and also makes it look like I am not getting tasks done in Linear.

      I can probably post more as I find them, but, I am not sure what good a screenshot does as it is a fairly straight forward issue.

      After this post, I went back into Akiflow, unticked the task from "done" to not "done", then I ticked it as "done" again and it almost instantly marked it as done in Linear.

      It seems that Linear seems to miss the task being marked "done" on the first attempt.

      Here's another one. Not sure how the screenshots help, but here they are as I come across them. Please fix this as it wastes my time and defeats the whole purpose of marking it completed in Akiflow if it isn't going to sync with Linear. It also makes me think that I haven't done the task.

    Hi everyone. In the last 3 app updates we focused on quality improvement including Linear sync. Please let us know if you still find any issues with Linear issues syncing.

      Thanks for the update. I’m sure that your hard work in the background will no doubt result in more reliable synching.

      The two remaining issues I have (which are somewhat interwoven) is that my “older” Projects simply DO NOT appear in the synch list of Projects, and, relating to this very issue, I would like Akiflow to simply bring in ALL of my (assigned) Linear tasks.

      I don’t want to constantly go back to the Akiflow Integration section to tell Akiflow which Projects it should import tasks from. I simply want ALL of my tasks in Akiflow to appear in Akiflow. No going back and forth to mess with synch settings.

      Is that possible? I have been asking for that since my synch issues started but I don’t have any clarity on whether Akiflow can make this happen.

      I did play around with Morgen, and, although I much prefer the Akiflow platform, Morgen did successfully import ALL of my assigned Linear tasks without any issues or playing around with synch settings.

    Further to what I wrote below, and to demonstrate (yet again) how I cannot rely on this integration, I have 36 tasks assigned to me in Linear. It would be many more, but I cannot rely on the process. As frustrating as it is, I am often adding tasks that should be in Linear to Todoist as that integration actually works.

    Now, despite having 36 open (To Do) tasks in Linear, and, despite deleting all of the Akiflow tasks and resynching everything (at least the Projects that actually appear in Akiflow), I only see 3 tasks in Akiflow.

    Again, as mentioned below, I need ALL of my tasks to appear in Akiflow. Seeing only a fraction of them is useless.

    I am sure that the improvements relate to new Projects, but, Akiflow is still failing to find my older Projects and therefore most of my tasks, I would prefer if Akiflow would simply find assigned tasks and NOT base it on Projects (but having the Project information on tasks would be helpful).

      Hi Brad, sorry I didn’t follow up sooner. We shipped further Linear integration fixes after your report. Are all your assigned tasks now appearing, including those from older projects, and are completed tasks syncing back correctly? If anything is still missing, one example issue link would help us trace exactly where it’s getting stuck.

        Thanks for the reply. Yes, I did work out that Akiflow had shipped a fix and the Integration has worked absolutely perfectly ever since. I am really impressed with the fix and very happy it is now working.

        Indecently, I did receive an email from Linear (just today) saying that the Webhook keeps failing. Despite this message, the Integration seems to be working perfectly.

        I sent this to Akiflow Support so I am sure someone will advise what I need to do (if anything).
