Allow workflows to be triggered with events

Currently, we can only schedule workflows.
Triggering workflows after an event (for example, when a task is created in a specific project or a label is added to a task) will improve the user experience in Akiflow and user productivity, especially if the user can work on the workflow results right away.

Hey Flavio, thanks for the feedback! Can you give me a few examples of the workflows you’d like to set?

      Hi@Nunzio, apologies for the delay.

The first one is about reimbursements. When I complete a reimbursement task, a new task to check whether the reimbursement was paid is created with a due date in 5 work days.

I could create a workaround with Aki for this one, where it checks the completed tasks in the reimbursement project, creates duplicates of them and adds them to a time slot in 5 work days, but sometimes Aki misses some.

Another example, I have a task to buy items I need for housing maintenance with the tag maintenance. When I buy them and complete the task, a new task is created on the next weekend to do the maintenance.

The last example I saw on Akiflow’s Slack was a user who wanted to create a project and tasks when the task related to a customer contract signing is completed. Not having to wait for a scheduled workflow or manually ask Aki to create the tasks every time saves time and lets us start working on the automatically created tasks.

      Best,

      Flavio
