Android widget button to simply open the calendar

I'd like to simply open the calendar from the Android widget to check on a date/time. At the moment, I either have to enter a task or zoom to an existing task and then back out from there. Often I'm just checking on a time to see if it's free and it involves a bunch of extra clicks to actually get there. That's why I keep my Outlook widget as my go-to.
