Expandable Task Panel in Calendar View

Currently, when viewing the 3-day calendar in the front page of the application, tasks appear at the bottom of the calendar view. However, only four tasks are visible at a time, which limits usability on busy days.

I would like the ability to see more tasks directly in the calendar view without needing to reference the center panel. Ideally, the task panel at the bottom could be draggable/resizable, allowing users to expand it and view more tasks as needed.
