Habit tracker/management

would be cool if akiflow comes with an in-built habit tracker!

would LOVE to have habit tracker like TickTick! right now i have my meds and routines in recurring tasks, but then I can't see at a glance how my month was in terms of a specific habit. Whereas in TickTick that is possible and it's what I used before migrating to Akiflow

This would be so cool 😭, ik you can set recurring tasks but the ability to see stats on your habits would be great :)

    +1

This is the feature why I don't trade ticktick for akiflow and it probably happens to a lot of people. Habits are part of the agenda but require different treatment (especially statistics)

This would be so cool! With a good habit tracker Akiflow would kill TickTick.

for habit tracking all you really need is the ability to fail a blocked todo - rather than a checkmark have another mark that leaves it in place. otherwise what i do now is have to delete it if i didn't end up doing it - which takes time but i need to do so it doesn't clog up as past due events. hopefully an easy thing to implement that would be HUGE! i don't think much more in terms of stats is even needed. you can already see your streak for the week or whatnot.

Adding my upvote. Specifically I want to track how often I did or didn't do something. If I miss breakfast or taking my meds, I'm not going to reschedule to have breakfast twice tomorrow. At the moment I have the to option to set the task to compete, or delete the task, neither of which actually helps me in assessing how functional I've been during the week.

This works for regular tasks, too. I like to check in with my engineers individually every day - if I miss a day I'm not checking in with them twice tomorrow, but if I miss it frequently I'd like to be able to identify that I've not been giving my people the attention and support they need.

James McCutcheon: Appreciate the upvote! Your examples really highlight why this kind of functionality matters—we’ll definitely keep this use case in mind as we explore ways to improve task tracking.

Agreed! I have some habits that I’d like to look at from a different perspective. Like for my morning routine I want to just check them off but not have full functionality that as task has. Then I can go back and see my progress over time. Ticktick did it pretty well

Yeah, I would really like to block time for those habits as well- like working out, reading & meditating. It's great if I see this easily on my calendar as well, just helps a lot knowing what's on my day in all detail- tasks, calendar & habits.

for me this would not be useful until the mobile app is developed - I need to be able to check habits off without opening computer
