More contrast on selection states (selected tasks, priorities, etc.)

I love the UX/UI and the pastel colors, but I think the interface needs more contrast.

Specifically when selecting tasks, setting priorities, and similar interactions — the selected/active state doesn't stand out enough against the rest of the UI. Keeping the pastel palette but pushing the contrast a bit further on these states would make it much easier to see what's currently selected at a glance.
