NEW FEATURES REQUEST: Better Focus Timer, Ability to Pick Your Daily BIG 3, and A Collapsable Inbox
Dear Akiflow,
I love your app. I’ve been using it for over a year now, and I have 3 feature requests:
1. I would to activate a focus time that takes up more of my screen. Perhaps it activates on a sidebar and counts down or something else, but i’d like it to be more visible when I activate it.
2. I’d like to be able to select my Big 3 Tasks for the day and have them highlighted within my Inbox to-dos or have it in a separate space in my inbox. This will help me focus on all the big tasks I need to do on a given day.
3. I would like a collapsible inbox. I’m building a business, I have a lot to do and tasks get reprioritized throughout the week and some linger for months. I’d like to be able to collapse the larger inbox list so I can just focus on my daily to-dos.
4. I’d really like a separate window to plan and replan my ideal week. My calendar is full, and having a blank workspace where I could plan out my week and have a place to plan without seeing everything on my calendar would be great. Then if I could have my ideal week overlay onto my busy calendar so I can see trade-offs I’m making (ideal week a faded color with active meetings a brighter color over them) that would be wonderful.

Wunderlist (a wonderful to-do-list app purchased and killed by Microsoft) had great feature/view called “My Day”.
When you have zillion tasks in inbox, and million tasks planned for today (including those that are overdue and that were scheduled before but today priorities has changed, which is a typical situation for many, I suppose), you could have marked tasks as “Add to My Day”. And you would end up with clean list of items that you have just prioritised to work on now. You could stay in that view until you finish tasks and then go back to your “Scheduled for Today” and bring another few tasks into this list for focused work. The most IMPORTANT aspect of this feature is that tasks do not get dragged from before! At midnight (or better at 3-4 am) this list would be cleaned (all the undone tasks would still stay in their original lists – inbox or scheduled for X/XX/XX or project-related). So each day you can start with clear place where you can drug items to work on. This really helps in overwhelming periods when you can not regularly unclog the system.
I would call this feature Daily Focus.

Thanks for sharing your detailed suggestion, Ivan! We love hearing ideas on how to make task management more focused. As a workaround for now, you can use our Rituals feature—Daily Planning and Daily Shutdown—to finalize, rearrange, and reprioritize your tasks and overdues each day. This can help create a clearer, focused list similar to the “Daily Focus” concept you described.
We’ve also noted your idea for future consideration.

Hi @Liz Covart!
thanks for the feedback!
About (2), the best solution at the moment would be marking the tasks as priority = goal, as they will get a nice border!
Regarding (3), I am not sure what you mean by collapsible inbox. Do you want to hide the tasklist? If so, you can do it pressing “0” or clicking here.
Otherwise, I use timeslots (eg: this week, this month, next week, etc..) to move to a later moment tasks I don’t wanna plan yet.
