Ongoing meeting in status bar

Currently, the status bar menu only shows upcoming meetings, which means that 1 min past the event start time, I can no longer access the meeting link for the current meeting. Can the status bar show the current meeting at least for 5-10 mins into the meeting in the status bar? And then switch to showing the upcoming event/task/meeting? This is how Fantastical, Mayday, Superpowered and others show events in the status bar.
