Outlook Email: Drag-and-Drop Emails into Calendar & Improved Plugin Functionality

Drag & Drop Emails into Calendar:

In Outlook, you can open mail and calendar in separate windows and drag an email into the calendar.

The email (including all attachments) is automatically added to the new event.

This makes it easy to convert emails into actionable calendar events without losing context.

Enhanced Plugin Functionality (Quicksteps-style):

Outlook’s Quicksteps allow flexible options (e.g., adding an email to a calendar event with date/time, attachments, and full message context).

Akiflow’s current plugin is limited: you cannot pick a specific date/time when flagging an email, attachments are not carried over, and locating detailed items can be difficult.

Expanding the plugin to include these options would greatly improve usability.

Support for Images & Attachments:

Users want the ability to include both images and file attachments when creating events from emails.

Goal:

Make email-to-calendar conversion in Akiflow as powerful and flexible as Outlook, reducing friction for users who manage a lot of tasks and events from their inbox.
