Select multiple non-sequential tasks by pressing `x` on each task (a la gmail)

I'd like to be able to select multiple non-sequential tasks via the keyboard/shortcut. Holding shift+arrow works to select tasks via the keyboard, but that doesn't help when you need to skip a task.

Pressing x on a given task when using j/k to navigate the task list would be really great!
