I have a radical suggestion for task creation screen: most tasks are barely one line (“pay bills”, “send work email”, etc), however the way the new task creation screen currently works is you have a huge textbox for description, meanwhile to set time, duration, etc, you have to click into things and do a ton of scrolling. Not the most streamlined experience. So how about the approach used by one of your competitors? I’ve attached a screenshot from the App Store, but the main idea is that most of the options you’d have to click into now are all on the screen in front of you and you can change most common settings right there and then (ie duration 15/30/1h, etc). It’s a great and way faster experience!! What do you guys think? I’ve attached screenshots of both.
99% of the time my tasks when created are just quick one line description, time when it happens, and how long (usually 15-30 mins). With the screen arranged like that orange screenshot you can do all that right there and then without extra clicks and going into extra pops and options! Would be super convenient and fast (would need the creation modal to be larger but it already blocks most of the screen so that won’t make a difference)
