About the view issues - If you could try to log out and log back in - This often solves similar issues.
About the task color option - this is not yet possible and rather a feature request. Let me know if you'd like me to add your vote. :)

Sorry! If color visibility is the main concern, unfortunately we’re unable to make changes at this time, as it’s part of the intended design rather than a bug. That said, I’ve added your vote to the relevant feature request for future consideration.
