Weekly Review

I use Akiflow to capture everything I need to do, from major projects to quick thoughts and small tasks. I’d love a structured review feature similar to the one in OmniFocus.

A review workflow would help me trust that anything I quickly capture will resurface at the appropriate time. It would also make it easier to remove outdated tasks, reduce noise, and keep projects relevant and actionable.

Ideally, the feature would include:

• A dedicated Review view showing every project that is due for review, along with a badge displaying the number remaining.

• A customizable review cadence for each project—for example, weekly for active projects, monthly for less urgent ones, or annually for long-term goals.

• A focused workflow that lets me open each project, inspect its tasks, add or update actions, and remove anything no longer relevant.

• A “Mark as reviewed” button that records the review, schedules the project’s next review according to its cadence, and removes it from the current queue.

• A clear way to move through the queue one project at a time until the review is complete.

I know it’s possible to review projects manually, but the value of a dedicated system is that it tracks what needs attention and when. That structure creates confidence that tasks won’t disappear into the system—even when they were entered quickly just to get them out of my head.
