Why do all of my tasks appear twice on my calendar?

As soon as I schedule a task for a specific time, two entries are generated on my calendar (one as a task and one as an event).

I have tried every setting I can think of, and I can't seem to turn this off.

This occurs even if I nest tasks inside a time slot. And in that scenario, the two entries appear in different colors, indicating different calendars, I guess? πŸ˜•β“πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

Is there a setting I am missing to stop this annoying behavior?
