Travel Time that shows how you travel, a calmer desktop, and search by ID on mobile
Release 2.84 is a polish release. We're rolling out 2.84 gradually over the next week, so your update may arrive a little later.
🚗 Travel Time, clearer at a glance
See how you travel - On desktop and web, bike and walking icons now appear on the travel block in the calendar, in the event popup and in Travel Time settings, instead of always showing a car.
Duration next to the location - On mobile, the saved travel time always shows next to the event location.
Leave on time, even after changes - On mobile, the leave-by reminder now arrives after you edit the event.
No duplicate blocks - Adding Travel Time to a recurring Google Calendar series no longer creates duplicate travel blocks.
🔎 Jump to anything by its ID on mobile
Paste a copied task, event or time slot ID into Search and Akiflow takes you straight to it. Handy when your AI assistant or a teammate hands you an ID instead of a link.
✨ A calmer, quicker desktop and web
A calmer header and menu - The focus timer stays light until you hover it, the main menu blends into the app background, and hovering the sync button now shows "Sync" with its shortcut on one line.
Faster updates - When only the app content changes, Akiflow reloads in place instead of relaunching the whole app.
Show or hide the secondary time zone with Shift Z - Works like Shift W for weekends. Z still opens the time zone picker. The Shortcuts list now also shows R (Responsive) and D (Dynamic).
Connect Zoom where you need it - In Share Availability and Default conference tools, Zoom shows a "Connect" label when it isn't connected yet, and it's selected automatically once you connect it. A booking slot's Location no longer offers Zoom without a connected account, so the slot you're creating is never lost.
Event warnings in Needs attention - When part of an event change can't be applied, the Needs attention menu tells you why and opens the event.
One way to rename - Double-clicking a project, folder or tag in the Tasks panel no longer starts a rename. Right-click and choose Rename instead.
More in 2.84
🖥️ Desktop & Web
Tasks
Saving a task from the task popup no longer fails with "no task date found".
Tasks grouped inside time slots no longer get stuck loading.
A link to a completed task opens it again in Chrome.
Fixed a crash when running Edit duration without picking a value.
Events & Calendar
The RSVP options for recurring events no longer suggest that past events will change.
Deleting an event with a sync issue now clears the header warning right away.
Fixed a crash when changing the start time or repeat of some recurring time slots.
You can edit a time slot's title in focus mode again.
Shortcuts
On French (AZERTY) Mac keyboards, Cmd+W now closes the window instead of undoing.
U on Upcoming now hides and shows the task list, like I and T do on their pages.
Share Availability
The delete button on an existing booking link no longer shows a false "user is offline" tooltip.
Integrations
The Linear project picker now always shows your current projects.
Integration status now always comes from our servers, so a single device no longer shows "needs reconnection" on its own.
Platform & Reliability
Faster calendar and time slot updates, especially in large accounts.
Stronger security settings in the desktop app.
Web: the app no longer fails to load some screens right after we release a new version, and no longer shows rounded corners in the browser.
📱 Mobile
New
Search by copied ID - Paste a task, event or time slot ID into Search to jump straight to it.
Scroll to top - Tap the bottom bar tab you're already on to scroll its list back to the top.
Parent task name - When you complete the last subtask, the popup now shows the name of its parent task.
Travel Time duration - The saved travel time always shows next to the event location.
Improvements
Taps just next to the + button now create a task instead of being missed.
The new task, event and time slot sheets opened from the calendar now behave the same way: a short drag up springs back instead of closing or fully opening the sheet.
Android: updated widget previews.
Bug Fixes
The calendar no longer shows every item twice on the day daylight saving time ends.
Editing an occurrence of a recurring event that you had already changed separately no longer asks which events to update, and "This and all future events" now includes the event you are editing.
Changing a recurring event's start date no longer skips dates held by occurrences you edited separately, and syncing no longer resets their times or durations.
Changing the time of a whole recurring time slot series no longer moves the tasks inside an occurrence you edited separately.
Recurring time slots no longer show an outdated occurrence after you edit the series.
Saving a recurring task with "This and all future tasks" now shows a confirmation.
Closing a task without changing it no longer saves it or shows a "Task updated" message.
Leave-by reminders now arrive after you edit the event.
Attachments: uploading several files with the same name no longer leaves a failed upload stuck on the task, files that can't be attached (such as empty files) now show a clear message, and uploads over your storage limit stop with a clear message instead of failing on every retry.
Calendar provider icons now have consistent sizes.
🌐 Web
Personal onboarding after checkout - New customers can book a 1:1 personal onboarding call right after checkout.
Safer sign-in: bots can no longer use the login page to send sign-up codes to people who didn't ask for them.
🔧 Infrastructure
Calendar Sync
iCloud Calendar: descriptions show formatted text instead of raw HTML, accounts no longer disconnect several times a day, events in GMT offset time zones (like GMT+4) read and write correctly, and when iCloud refuses a change, Akiflow now tells you why.
Google Calendar: title edits on events you don't own save again, and moving an all-day event into a time slot works.
A title added after an event was created now reaches its guests.
Outlook: edited occurrences of a series keep their original start, and a temporary error reading a calendar group no longer removes that group's calendars.
Aki & MCP
Aki no longer creates events that end before they start.
Editing one occurrence of an Outlook series through MCP no longer creates a duplicate.
Your AI assistant can now clear an event's description.
Tasks created through MCP get your default duration only when they have a time.
The Akiflow MCP now works in Missive.
Integrations
ClickUp: losing access to one workspace no longer disconnects your whole account, and completing a task in a list or folder with its own statuses now works.
Slack: an account you revoked in Slack now shows as disconnected in Akiflow.
Notion: fixed an error when picking a database.
Microsoft To Do: opening a task created from a flagged email no longer loads a blank page.
Tasks with ftp:// links now import.
Integration settings that point to a deleted list, project or team are now reported in Akiflow instead of silently importing nothing.
