Hi everyone! We are working on a feature to pick your calendar "density", so you can decide to see more or less hours in your calendar view.
In the meantime, we have introduced the ability to zoom in and out in the Akiflow desktop app, just like you can in the browser.
To make it even more convenient, we've added some keyboard shortcuts. Check more at this link: https://product.akiflow.com/changelog/zoom-in-out

yes please! Let us set it so we only see the hours in the calendar we want to see. All those gaping overnight hours just hiding my view of what I really need to see - please let me make them go away.

This would be extremely helpful! Probably my biggest gripe with Akiflow is how tiny all my 15m tasks are, and all the empty space after ~8pm

Any chance we can decide when the calendar begins and ends daily? I think the simplified view would be nicer for me - I only need from 9am to 6pm showing.

Agree 100%! This would greatly improve the planning experience and speed up the process. Specially, when planning small tasks!

I'm very keen to 'zoom' / 'expand' hours across the vertical layout, particularly to manage 15 minute tasks. At the moment, I'm instinctively trying to do that with CTRL + Scroll Wheel. Without the ability to 'zoom' / 'expand', the short tasks are generally very difficult to manage, because they're small and tough to manipulate with the cursor.

This would be great. In my akiflow much of the real estate is taken up with evening and night, but all my tasks are planned during working hours

I support this request 100% for the calendar view. It would be great to have the option to change the ganularity of the calendar (e.g. by using Ctrl+scroll). Not only for visibility so that multiples tasks doesn't get groupped together, but also in order to be more precise when a task is assigned to a time-block. For example if I could zoom in to a 5min scale instead of the 15min default, I could assign 3 small tasks of 5 min next to each other in a that 15 min block. This would also direclty set the order in which I want to execute those tasks. That way, I don't have to think of what comes next when the moment to execute those tasks comes.
One of my favourite implementation of a calendar with customizable zoom/granularity is the Android app called Business Calendar, if you're looking for some inspiration check it out ;-)

Zoom in on a time of the day (morning, afternoon...)

When you have several tasks one after the other in straight succession (for example: one every 15 minutes), Akiflow just creates a bar with a number that does not let you know wich tasks are behind. It would be great if we could zoom in on a particular time of the day instead of seeing the whole day. This would allow more granularity to the view and would help you to check what tasks are ahead without having to click on the tab.

Francesco added me to this but just voicing my vote too! It's also an accessibility issue on two fronts. 1) Visual impairment, the obvious one, and 2) Using other pointing devices other than a mouse.
Using a very precise pointing device like a mouse is far less of a problem but I (and many other developers I know) use a graphics tablet/pen set up as a pointing device. Some use them out of preference and others (like me) use them because of RSI injury. Having the shorter tasks appear so small is really tricky to select/click into with a graphics tablet/pen.

Gavin : This 100%. I'm facing this issue currently and am having to use a third-party app to zoom in on things when I hover over them in the app.
