Suggest Existing Tasks When Adding to a Slot
When typing to add a task to a slot, it should first suggest existing tasks in a search field. If no match is found, allow creating a new task. This would help prevent duplicate tasks and save time currently, I often end up with duplicates because finding tasks in my inbox or folders and dragging them into the right slot is too time-consuming. When planning my day, I want to quickly and easily pull existing tasks into slots without extra steps.

Time Slots: have tasks from inbox auto populate as you type in the slot
Have your inbox tasks auto populate (like Google) when you’re trying to add a task to a time slot. This would be so much easier than clicking and dragging a task into a time slot. Users should at least have the option to use an auto populate option or click and drag tasks this option would be especially helpful for Mobile(I would also have added the Mobile category if you could add multiple categories.

Auto-Suggest Existing Project Tasks When Creating Tasks in a Project-Linked Timeslot
When creating a new task inside a timeslot that's tied to a specific project, the task creation modal should auto-view, populate, or suggest existing tasks from that project. This helps avoid duplicate entries and makes it easier to select and schedule existing work.

Search for Tasks before creating a new one
When I create a time slot, or if in the “upcoming” view. It would be great if when you start typing in “add a new task” if it searches for existing tasks first, and then creates a new one if none match. I have tons of tasks in my queue or in my inbox and scrolling to find them to drag and drop is a huge waste of time. But when I do it this way I end up with duplicate tasks cluttering up my views.

Agreed!! I too often encounter the challenge of duplicating tasks. Searching for an existing task before creating one can be a drain on our valuable time.

Larissa Pires: Thanks so much for sharing this! I’ve passed it along to the team it hasn’t come up often yet, so it may take a little longer before we can work on it. We’ll be sure to let you know once we do!
