A user reported concern about a background process called “Monitor Clipboard Changes” related to Akiflow, which appears to crash and raised privacy concerns. They expressed that they do not want their clipboard to be monitored and asked for a setting to disable this behavior. Since this is tied to the Capture feature, the request is to: Provide a setting to toggle clipboard monitoring on/off within the app. Rename the background process to something more transparent and less alarming (e.g., “Akiflow Clipboard Capture”). Optionally, inform users about what the process does and why it runs, via a tooltip or UI explanation in settings.

When you create a task by using the command bar (outside of the app), a shortcut to view the notification in-app - instead of clicking view in the notification, use a shortcut.

I'd like to turn off Capture Feature sometimes. It defaults to capturing the URL in the command bar any time I copy something from my browser.

Planning workflows often happen in ChatGPT or notes apps, but importing them into Akiflow is tedious. I often use ChatGPT or Notes to plan out my day — typically by writing 5–10 structured lines of tasks including time, duration, and project. Example format: Send report to CPO – Wed 3pm – 20 min – Project: Strategy I used to do this with Todoist: once I trained ChatGPT on how that system parsed inputs, I could plan my entire day and just paste it in. I’d love for Akiflow to support this kind of natural language bulk import — ideally via paste into the Command Bar or a dedicated “Planning Paste” feature. Even better: If Akiflow could detect Slot structures in the paste and auto-create Slots with multiple tasks inside, based on their durations, that would be a game-changer for structured planning. This would unlock ChatGPT → Akiflow workflows and make daily planning much faster.

Current task entry with NLP is inconsistent and too rigid. Request: Make task creation more flexible: Recognize durations like “20 minutes” or “2 hrs” without needing =. Auto-detect project names (without #) as you type. Understand common phrases like “tomorrow at 2pm” for scheduling. Expand autocomplete to include: Projects, Labels, Time suggestions

When working down my inbox quickly, I want to be able to plan a task before I project it (and vice versa). I don't want to have to think about the order in which I type commands. The current behavior will remove the task from the inbox as soon as I plan it so I have to remember to do everything first (projects, due date) else I then have to go chase it down (which breaks my flow) or leave it without a project assigned to it (which hurts my organization).

I'd like to search for tasks/events directly in the command bar, so I can easily perform actions (like delete) on them.

When creating a new task via the global keyboard shortcut, users can currently add tags, projects, priorities, and other attributes through buttons or shortcuts. However, there is no dedicated way to attach a link during this flow — users have to either paste the link into the task title or add it manually afterward.

When creating a task using clipboard link capture, the link often disappears before the task is fully entered — especially if multiple keyboard shortcuts are applied. This appears to be due to a short internal timer. Extending the timer for clipboard content would help ensure that links aren’t lost before the user finishes entering the task.
