Task Planning
Planning is determining an action date, date&time or time frame for a task.
How to plan a task?
You can Plan a task while creating it using the Command Bar, clicking on the Plan button or by hitting P on an existing task.
Here’s a quick guide on all the ways to create tasks: How to create tasks.
If you cannot assign a precise date to the task yet, plan it for a broader time frame, like “This Week” or “Next Month”. Learn more: Upcoming Page
On desktop and web, you can also drag a task onto This Week or This Month in the left sidebar. To plan several tasks at once, select them and drag the selection onto the same sidebar item.
This plans the task for the current week or month without choosing a specific day or time. If the task was already scheduled, its previous planned date and time are cleared. You can choose a specific day or time later with the Plan button or P.

Akiflow recognizes natural language, so you can type any date, time, time frames, time slot names or projects to plan your tasks!

Planning into Time Slots and Projects
Hit P on a selected task(s) to open the Plan command and easily assign those tasks to an existing Time Slots in your calendar.
Type the [Time Slot Title] to find all the time slots with that title
Type #[Project Name]to search for all the Time Slot with that project

To-dos vs Scheduled
Once you choose a specific day, the task appears under that date on your Today page. Tasks planned for a whole week or month remain in that broader time frame until you choose a day or time.
To-dos
If a task has a planned date but not a time, it’ll be visible on your Today page, under the correct date on the To-dos section, and at the bottom of your calendar.
Scheduled
If you've set a date and time to work on a task, you'll also see it on your calendar and in your Today page, on the correct date, under Scheduled on calendar.
